Manchester Training Report

PAWA and the IWW organised a two-day rep training event at the Working Class Movement Library (WCML) in Manchester on March 16th and 17th, 2024. The event provided food, accommodation, family, and childcare support to all participants.

Prior to the training, facilitators gathered feedback from PAWA members on their main workplace issues. The training content was tailored accordingly, focusing on practical experiences relevant to UK workers. Role-playing exercises were incorporated to simulate real-life situations, enhancing learning effectiveness.

Attendees gained knowledge of labor laws and strategies for addressing unfair labor practices, empowering them to advocate for their colleagues effectively. The training was described as engaging and stimulating, with trainers fostering a conducive learning environment through clear explanations and friendly interaction.

The event marked one of PAWA’s most successful and well-attended gatherings, showcasing the strong partnership between PAWA and the IWW. With fifteen new reps trained, PAWA members are now better equipped to support each other in organising and addressing workplace challenges. Follow this link to join the IWW. PAWA to the Workers!
